Liberty and Equality

Many of my opinions under the “Issues” tab underscore the need to change the priorities, process and accountability of government. One reason for the delay in the budget is the disagreement in how to best prioritize giving the money (taken from taxpayers) to others in the name of social justice and economic equality. Trying to dictate the economic outcome of people’s pursuit of happiness will strip our liberty guaranteeing less equality. The pursuit of liberty first has generated more equality here in the United States economically than anywhere else and in bringing justice to people here or abroad.
